Twin Bridge: The Christmas Tree Nursery

Many of our customers don't realize that we become a Christmas Tree Nursery at Thanksgiving. Oh, we're still a complete garden center, but the end of our lot toward Greenville is set up for the holidays with rows of Fraser Firs, the freshest in town!

Did you hear that? Sure, every corner stand says they have fresh cut Christmas trees. What makes our better?

  • They're harvested from our own North Carolina Christmas tree farms.

  • We ship immediately on our own trucks.

  • We get truckload after truckload from late November throughout the first three weeks of December.

  • They're Fraser Firs, a great tree to decorate with its branches that sweep upward.

  • Fraser Firs are known for their needle retention.

Customers in the Greenville area have been buying their holiday tree from us since before Twin Bridge opened in 1990. It's part of our history. We started selling our fresh cut Christmas trees off this land on Wade Hampton Boulevard in the late 1980's.

We have a steady stream of customers, especially on weekends. Our staff is ready to help you select that just-right tree to make your holiday special. Once it's picked out, we'll trim lower branches and make any cuts you need so it fits in your tree stand.

We'll help you load it into your truck or car. We have twine to tie it down if necessary. We can do this all fairly quickly, but for most families, buying a Christmas tree is a leisurely holiday tradition.

Live Christmas Trees

Live Christmas Tree - Norway Spruce

As a Christmas tree nursery, we also stock live Christmas trees, both Blue Spruce and Norway Spruce balled and burlapped trees. After the holidays, these beauties can be planted in your yard as a lasting holiday memory.

The downside to these trees, besides their weight, is that you really don't want to keep them inside more than a week or so. The dry indoor environment with lights and decorations is quite stressful on a tree.

When planting outside, in 30 - 40 years the Norway Spruce can soar to over 100 feet tall. The Blue Spruce tops out at about 50 feet.

Thoughtful Gifts

Pygmy Date Palm

Do you have a gardening enthusiast on your holiday shopping list? Think about a gift that grows. Our garden center is open, with a full line of plants, shrubs, and trees, and all of the accessories to care for them. Camellias and Pieris Japonicas are great winter shrub plants and make a thoughtful gift.

Sometimes it's hard to know what to buy for that gardener. A Twin Bridge Nursery gift certificate is a good option, and great for a stocking stuffer, too. Before you come to our Christmas tree nursery, get some gift ideas from our gifts-that-grow page.

This holiday season, whether you're celebrating old traditions or starting new ones, come see us at Twin Bridge.
